Barclay Street Condo - kitchen, bath & powder room renovation
Located in Vancouver’s West End, this Barclay Street condo renovation is a modern interior design project by Lindsay Eby Interiors, a Vancouver interior designer specializing in luxury residential interiors. The design explores a refined balance of minimalism and functionality, creating a space where clean lines and contemporary living converge.
Our Barclay Street Condo embodies a fusion of minimalist and modernist design, with meticulous attention to detail throughout.
The kitchen showcases an adjustable-height charcoal filtering range hood, allowing for an open view between the kitchen and living room. A marble mosaic backsplash, with natural edges and handcrafted texture, adds a layer of artisanal detail. Painted and back-painted glass doors, paired with a beautifully mitred and fitted Caesarstone countertop, create a workspace that is both functional and visually refined. A cleverly clad column, finished in vertical oak slats, discreetly conceals a non-relocatable vent—seamlessly blending form and function.
In the dining area, the vertical slat detail continues through a floating credenza, complemented by a striking natural quartzite surface sourced from our fabricator, reinforcing continuity across spaces.
The original wood-burning fireplace in the living room was preserved and updated with a refined mantle, surround, and hearth. An extra-deep custom window bench maximizes functionality while creating a comfortable, integrated seating area to take in the view.
In the powder room, simplicity drives the design, with a cylindrical pedestal sink and custom round medicine cabinet contributing to a clean, efficient layout.
The primary bathroom is defined by floor-to-ceiling large-scale porcelain tile and a streamlined solid surface shower base. Angled walls provided an opportunity to introduce subtle geometry through a triangular ledge, adding a unique architectural detail. Integrated lighting—including a shower strip and built-in cabinet illumination—enhances both functionality and ambiance.
