Thoughtful Plumbing Choices to Elevate Our Beach House Design
In high-end residential design, the details often make the biggest impact—and plumbing fixtures are no exception. For our beach house project, every faucet, sink, and shower element was selected not just for function, but to enhance the overall aesthetic, complement the material palette, and reflect the casual yet refined vibe of coastal living. Here’s a look at some of the ways we used plumbing to elevate the design throughout the home.

Instead of defaulting to stainless steel, we selected a slate-colored concrete sink for the kitchen. Its natural, tactile surface adds warmth and an organic element to the heart of the home.

The kitchen faucet is a Corsano model with a pull-out spray from California Faucets in graphite—a subtle nod to the kitchen hardware while providing versatile functionality for everyday use.
#3. Laundry Room Statement
To bring personality to a typically utilitarian space, we chose a Holbord bridge kitchen faucet with side spray from House of Rohl. Its sculptural form makes the laundry room feel intentional and thoughtfully designed.
#4. Space-Saving Bathroom Solution
Tight bathroom dimensions required a vanity with minimal depth. The wall-mounted Descanso faucet from California Faucets in oil-rubbed bronze with wheel handles was the ideal solution, combining elegance with practicality.
#5. Shower Luxury
Continuing the oil-rubbed bronze theme, the shower features a low-profile rain head, a contemporary wall-mount hand shower on a hook, and a matching dual-volume control—all from California Faucets. This cohesive approach elevates the bathing experience while maintaining a clean, modern profile.
